The term co-housing is used to define the settlements consist of private homes accompanied by large spaces (indoor and outdoor) intended for common use and sharing among cohousers. Among the services commonly used there can be large kitchens, spaces for guests, workshops for DIY, play areas for children, gymnasium, swimming pool, internet cafe, library and more.
Usually a cohousing project includes 20 to 40 families who live together as a community of neighbors (neighborhood elective) and manage the common areas in a collective way and thereby obtain cost savings and ecological benefits.
