The European Parliament shall make available 146 million euro to finance a series of projects for energy efficiency and renewable energy. The resolution of 11 November, provides local authorities and regional contributions could take the form of loans, guarantee funds, equities or other financial products. Up to 15% of the amounts paid may be used to provide assistance to public authorities for the preparation of projects, which also will be selected on a basis of geographic equity. The funds will finance the restructuring of public and private buildings to improve energy efficiency or switching to renewable energy, the construction of plants based on renewable sources of heat and energy, with distribution channels and their integration into the power grid solutions; urban public transport "green" vehicles such as electric or hydrogen, and local infrastructure, including street lights, storage of electricity and the provision of metering and smart grids.
The European Office of the Province of Piacenza announce shortly the arrangements for access to calls for participation and financing of projects.
